Christians believe Jesus was “fully God and fully man.” In this episode we particularly catch glimpses of his humanity. Think back on what you just watched: what are the many ways that Jesus comes across as “down to earth”—like one of us?
The decision by the creators of The Chosen to show Jesus’s humanity in winsome ways has been applauded; it’s also been criticized. Why might some be uncomfortable?
You could ask a few additional questions: Do you have any discomfort with it? If so, why? Are there any lines to be drawn in the display of Jesus’s humanity? If someone were to share with you concerns they have about The Chosen’s depiction of Jesus, how would you speak to such concerns?[2]
